An Intimate Evening with Spirit didn’t sell out, but this happened instead

‍August 15th was the date I chose for An Intimate Evening with Spirit group mediumship experience, but things didn’t follow through like I planned, and how things worked out better than I expected.

‍ ‍

This time around was different. I actually promoted the event. Created content about the event and allowed myself to become excited for the possibility of showing up in a full group again to be a conduit for Spirit, but a full group was NOT what happened. To understand this expectation, you must know that the first time I held this event it was for a full group.

I was extremely anxious, but I showed up and allowed Spirit to show out. The event was a success. I held multiple events that year and they were all fully booked and was AMAZING despite the anxiety leading up to the event. My last event was right before the emergence of COVID-19 in January 2020. It was another great event and even more important because it was the first time my twin sister saw me demonstrate mediumship. It was always something I talked about until she saw me in action. Even typing this out makes me feel so grateful for those past experiences, but this is the experience I had from Saturdays event.

Lesson Taught, Lesson Learned

‍ ‍

I had the option to cancel the event because my expectations of a sold out event like previously held events were not met. I could’ve allowed my Ego to rule the show or I had the option to show up even if I had one participant. I chose to show up not just for the participant/sitter, but also for me too. Last week I spoke a lot about imposter syndrome pertaining to my mediumship. Deciding to show up for yourself and for Spirit is truly confidence and trust in Spirit. Trusting that Spirit will guide the way if I only allowed myself to get out of my own way. I reached out to the participant and asked to reschedule to an earlier time and the participant agreed. I communicated my disclosure about how I work with mediumship and informed them that I cannot control who comes in and what is said outside of my request that whoever comes in is one who has a close relationship with the participant and is also a good communicator. I transparently also communicated how anxious I was and thanked them for their patience in allowing me to work through my shit, honestly. An hour came and went and at the end of the reading the participant commended me for my ability and encouraged me to keep working with Spirit. ‍

The lesson I learned was to get the fuck out of my own way and just show up for myself and Spirit will take me where I need to be.

‍ ‍‍Learn to get out of your own way, dammit

‍ ‍

I share this story with you to encourage you to get out of your own way as well. What’s preventing you from either showing up for yourself, engaging in anything you want to, or even allowing yourself to grieve, heal, and grow? Think about it. What is it? How are you going to challenge yourself to arrive? What do you need in order to go where you want and need to go? If you need help I gotchu. I have several options to provide support.
